I originally wanted to move out the city to go to my dream college an hour away but my parents were very adamant on me staying at home and commuting to my local university. I only complied because of the amount of scholarships I recieved.

Course Curriculum

8

Heavily based on grade and exam system to evaluate intellect. Being a business student, technical skills can be learned easily but most importantly problem solving, negotiating, communicating and being able to present oneself as a strong asset is more important. Grading makes nonsense for business students.

Exams

Just applied for undergrad. It was by admission based on overall high school average. University level exams were course based.

Placement

1

Job opportunities were strange. A college did the business internship program through our campus but she worked for a salting company working with US clients. Not exactly the most creative and appealing job for a marketing major.

Internship

It does but it is admission based on grades and overall cumulative average. I wanted to apply but my grades just werent good enough. It was more reliable to put myself out there and randomly apply for jobs to build my own network.

Events

Most of my accomplishments were outside of the classroom. I took part in extracurriculars that helped me build my communication and teamwork skills. Soft skills in my opinion are more valuable in evaluating what makes an effective innovator or leader as a business student.

Fees

Extremely expensive. Because my interests are extremely narrow to just strictly business I took all my business courses all at once. Challenging yes but I liked the material I was learning. However I was forced to take electives to meet my credit requirements and held me back a year. Now I'm taking things like guitar, vocal and anime class for ~8k a year.

Scholarship

Yes. The first year of my undergrad I recieved an entrance scholarship because my grades were decent. It was immediately deducted from my tuition. After I applied for financial aid bursaries and the discount was taken off my tuition as well.

Examination Structure

Heavily based on short answer and multiple choice. This requires pure memorization which does not reflect what a good business woman is. Some were cumulative exams and some were written when they should have focused on a couple topics at a time.

Faculty

9

I go to an all womens school. Nothing feels different persay, just a quieter classroom. The amount of studious students are more commonly found than those who socialize. I prefer having a co ed classroom because I value different perspectives.

Hostel

8

I did not live on campus. I lived at home for 2 years and 2 years in a rental with other students. From what I know my campus' residence is nice, but for other campus' its really a luck of the draw to get decent accommodation.
