Shukan Shelat Review at University Of Windsor [UWINDSOR], Windsor | Collegedunia

Consistency IS the Key

SS
6.7 /10

My consultant recommended this University and the course. The campus is quite big and has lot of activity going on. The city and the area is filled with students and there are a lot of opportunities available.

Course Curriculum :

I would say the course curriculum was upto my expectations. There are several curr. courses one can chose from. There is an option of Co Op but is mostly limited to students with experience. Research takes place is Applied Science programs.

Exams :

Admission requirements depends on course. It mostly depends on related experience, GPA and SOP. My university does not grade on IELTS. As long as it meets the minimum criteria, one should be good to go.

Placement :

There were no ON campus placements. There were just open job fairs where hundred of candidates competed. University promotes post study research in its many research based programs. About 70 percent students get placed within 6 months of graduation. The median salary depends on profession but skilled workers earn upto 50000 CAD annually.

Internship :

No

Events :

There are several activities going on in the campus at any point of time. There are clubs for mental health, sports, music, arts, etc. Infrastructure is fantastic and student have full access to everything. The library in UWindsor is quite big and has a huge database of material.

Fees :

35000 CAD

Scholarship :

No

Faculty :

Faculty to student ratio was largely dependent on kind of curr. Course. In general tougher courses had a faculty to student ratio of upto 1. The professors were quite well versed but not very approachable. We had limited slots to book appointments with them. The career employment staff was amazing and guided me a lot.

Hostel :

There are sharing and non sharing accommodation available around the campus. One has to take care of pest especially rats and bed bugs while looking for accommodation. For sharing a single room in a house, the average is 450 CAD per month. A studio will cost around 900 CAD per month.
