No Shortcuts to Success

RP
7.2 /10

Great university with beautiful infrastructure and a highly reputed school.

Course Curriculum :

It is more or less updated and on pace with the current industry requirements.

Exams :

The only requirements were IELTS (at least band 6.5 and above) and a Grade 11-12 average of over 85%. My scores: IELTS 8 band; Grade 11 CBSE 94% aggregate; Grade 12 CBSE 92% aggregate.

Placement :

It is fairly competitive. It honestly depends on the market and economic conditions at the time you are applying for jobs but the key is to stay focused and driven and not give up even if nothing seems to be working initially.

Internship :

I am currently working as an intern with SKF Canada on a 16-month work term.

Events :

There is a large exposure for extracurricular activities and clubs on campus for people from various cultures and places around the world. It is a very creative and positive experience to be a part of.

Fees :

It honestly depends on the length of your desired program. For BSc in Engineering; you should be looking at somewhere around 80000 CAD - 95000 CAD for 4 years program. (excluding accommodation and other costs)

Scholarship :

University of Calgary International Entrance Award (10000 CAD/year). Please refer to the university website for the requirements and criteria to apply for the award.

Faculty :

Class size can usually be around 200-250 students in first year but as you move on class size reduces considerably.

Hostel :

There are residence rooms offered by the university or you have the option of renting a room separately outside.
