Okanagan College is a multicampus public institution in Kelowna, British Columbia. It is the region’s largest higher education institution. More than 21,200 students recieve training and education from the Okanagan every year. It is known to be a highly competitive institution given the quality of its education. An average class size at Okanagan includes 18 students.
Okanagan College offers more than 120 programs from bachelor’s degrees to diplomas, vocational training, corporate training and adult basic education. It also offers a number of unique programns which vary for each campus. The College does not provide any programs at the graduate level. Okanagan College provides hands-on learning with co-op and practicum opportunities to ensure learner success.
- Early applications are highly recommended. It is best to apply before May 15 to get a proper selection of programs.
- To apply for bachelor’s degree at Okanagan College, applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Courses of the fall and winter semesters of 2023 will commence from the given date in online mode. Please note that this will not affect the post-graduation work permit eligibility.
- The college has also opened floor for international students to claim the Canada Emergency response benefit in the wake of COVID-19;

Note: Students should note that for limited entry programs including Early Childhood Education, Human Service Worker, Therapist Assistant, Human Kinetics and all of the Engineering Technology diplomas, the admission deadline is March 15. Visa Process for International Students
If the length of the course exceeds 6 months, international students need to obtain a study permit from the government of Canada to pursue the course any further.
The following documents are required to substantiate a visa appeal:
- An acceptance letter from the designated institution ;
- A valid passport
- Proof of financial sufficiency
- Two recent passport size photographs
The applicants must follow the following process in order to obtain a visa –
- After receiving an acceptance letter from the college, students can apply for the visa by contacting a Canadian immigration officer at the Canadian embassy of your country.
- You can then hand in the supporting documents at the aforementioned place.
- After the application is approved, the applicant will then receive a letter of introduction that needs to be produced at the time of immigration.

It can be accessed by entering the unique credentials given upon application submission. Ans. The average cost of Degree/Diploma Programs is 1,416 CAD per course. All Okanagan College students are required to pay student fees each semester. These fees include student activity fees (about 50 CAD), development and technology fees (about 150 CAD), and student union fees (80 CAD). Overview
It was local. I didn't have to travel in order to upgrade my courses was the main appeal. Plus I already knew a lot of the staff and students at the college which was appealing. There are not a lot of choices in my area.
