Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students must complete an Ontario Secondary School Diploma with six Grade 12 University (U) or University/College (M) courses with a combined average of 65% or higher.
  • Students completed the English Grade 12 (U) with a grade of 65% or higher.
  • Students also hold a Grade 11 Math (M or U) or Grade 12 Math (U) with a grade of 60% or higher.
  • An overall average of 60% in the following courses:
    • Biology, Grade 11 (U) or Grade 12 (U)
    • OR Chemistry, Grade 11 (U) or Grade 12 (U)
    • OR Physics, Grade 11 (U) or Grade 12 (U)
    • OR Environmental Science, Grade 11 (M)
    • (SVN3M) with a Grade of 60% or higher.

Advance Entry Option:

  • Any approved Ontario college behavioral science technician diploma program.
  • George Brown students who have successfully completed two years of the Behavioural Science Technology advanced diploma (C116) program.
  • Graduates of George Brown’s Behaviour Science Technician diploma program.

Work Experience Eligibility: 

  • Students are required to complete a minimum of 14 weeks of full-time work experience.
  • Equivalence of no less than 420 hours of verifiable work experience.
  • Work Experience offers students the opportunity to:
    • Explore career interests to help determine the type of jobs to pursue after graduation
    • Gain practical knowledge about various workplace environments, expectations, behaviors, and ethics
    • Gain relevant work experience and contacts to help secure a full-time job in the relevant field
    • Develop essential employability skills

Others:

  • Be 19 years of age or older at the time of registration.
  • Provide proof of English proficiency, if English is not the first language in-country.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria

  • Students must be graduated from senior secondary school or equivalent (those applying for a postgraduate program must have graduated from a university or college).
  • Minimum 5 major subjects in 12th Grade, including English, with an average of 65% and no course less than 60%.
  • If Math was not taken in 12th Grade, Mathematics from Grade 10 or 11 (or from any post-secondary courses taken) may be considered if the grade is at 70% or higher.
  • For some degree programs, minimum grades in Grade 12 Science courses are also required.
  • Students have to submit the All India Senior School Certificate (CBSE) or Indian School Certificate (ISC) or Year 10+2 State Board certificate.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
