St. Lawrence College offers an Advanced Diploma in Computer Programming and Analysis for a duration of 3 years.

The CPA program follows an experiential learning approach to education by offering courses that parallel the software development practices used in the modern workplace.
Students learn to work in project teams, in which they design, develop, and test larger-scale applications.
After gaining programming and problem-solving skills, students experience real-world work environments by participating in our third-year work placement program.
Students learn many programming languages, including C#, C++, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and Java.
Students also learn to write programs for desktop, web, mobile, and mainframe platforms.
Most courses have 3 tests and 3 assignments throughout the semester and students should expect to spend up to 18 hours per week on homework.
In the 3^rd year, students spend 2 days per week on the job in an IT business environment. Many students are employed by their work placement during the summer months preceding the third year. This gives 1-year work experience on their resume at graduation.
St. Lawrence College is one of a handful of colleges in North America offering mainframe courses in COBOL, CICS, JCL, and TSO.
Graduates of the CPA program can turn their advanced diploma into a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computing with Software Development Degree in 1 academic year (2 semesters) in Ireland at the Institute of Technology Tralee.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students have to complete the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with the majority of Grade 11 and 12 courses at the C, U, or M level including the following prerequisites:
- Grade 12 English at the C or U level
- Grade 11 Math at the C or U level.

Indian Student Eligibility:

The students must have completed 10^th and intermediate i.e 12^th grade which has the minimum with 60% marks.
The minimum qualification required to attend this program is a higher secondary school certificate.
Copies of original documents should be attested by the educational institution.
School Record of Diploma/Degree certificate Mark sheets for each year of study is required.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
