  • Graduate Certificate in Advanced Care Paramedic degree at the Cambrian College is offered a 1-year (2 semesters) program.
  • This program is offered on a full-time basis.

  • The requirement to be on campus is for the Fall semester (Sept-Dec) and only 2 weeks in the Winter semester (Jan-Apr).  The remainder of the winter semester is completed with an ambulance service and the expectation is the completion of 84 hours (7 shifts) every 2 weeks.

  • Add to Students Primary Care Paramedic training to advance their career and increase their salary while making a difference in the health of your community.  You will undertake advanced training delivered through a combination of classroom, simulation, clinical, and preceptorship environments.  Your training will exceed what is prescribed within the National Occupational Competency Profile for Paramedics.  You will also complete preceptorship through exposure to an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) land ambulance service. 
  • Successful completion of this program qualifies candidates to write the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Advanced Care Paramedic Theory Examination

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be graduates of a diploma, advanced diploma, or degree from an Ontario College or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 60% is required in each prerequisite course.
  • Applicants working in related industries without a diploma or degree may be considered on an individual basis.

Indian Student Eligibility:

  • The students must have completed 10th and intermediate i.e 12th grade which has the minimum with 70% marks.
  • Applicants must be graduates of a diploma, advanced diploma, or degree in an equivalent field.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
