University of Queensland Undergraduate Admissions

Over 28,000 students (part-time included) are enrolled in a number of undergraduate programs at UQ. For 2023 entry, the university is offering 146 full-time bachelor courses. As an institution, UQ allows students to undertake two bachelor's degrees at the same time and complete them in a shorter period of time (compared to if they were undertaken separately).

Admission requirements are program specific for undergraduate courses. However, the International student application process is similar for UQ undergraduate programs. Applications can be submitted directly by the candidate or through an agent approved by the university.

Australia Student Visa Process

International applicants can apply for their Australian student visa online through the Department of Home Affairs online Application system. Students can also take help from a university agent in their home country for applying. Student Visa applicants also need to meet the General Temporary Entrant requirement/GTE.

University of Queensland Admission Decisions

Applications can be tracked using the My Applications portal. For inquiries about the status of the application, candidates can email applicationstatus@uq.edu.au and include their full name, date of birth, and student number (if known). International applicants may also be contacted by their departments through this portal in case some additional information or documentation is required. Application status is usually updated in a minimum of 2-3 weeks, however, it may take longer than this period.

If a student does not fulfil certain eligibility criteria but has excelled in other aspects of the applications and requirements, the university may send conditional offers to the student. In this case, the applicants are required to either take a preparatory course prior to their program and submit exam scores or they might be asked to secure a specific consistent GPA while pursuing the program.
