It was the closest university to my home that had my course. It also has a good reputation among workplaces in producing work-ready students. It has a beautiful campus that isn't too metro but it's also not so tiny.
Course Curriculum
So far the curriculum has been fantastic. It's interesting, specific to our future work and the lecturers are great at delivering the content. I highly value the problem based learning part of the curriculum as it allows time in small groups to ask questions and helps consolidate knowledge from all subjects in a practical way.
Fees
Fees are being delayed due to HECS-HELP. This means I can pay them off at an interest-free rate after the duration of my course. It comes out of my regular pay- deducted by the government.
Examination Structure
One anatomy exam, one physics exam, one clinical exam will take place at the end of the first semester. These are written examinations during which we will have to answer multiple choice, short answer, and extended answer questions. At the end of the year, there is anatomy and clinical written exam and a practical examination.
Faculty
My experience with the faculty so far has been great. Everyone is willing to help as long as you're putting in the effort. They make an effort to be approachable and give opportunities and means to ask questions.
