I opted for this University because of the dual degree that was offered to me and I didn't find any other reputed University that offered a dual degree in Engineering Management and project management.
Course Curriculum
I think my course curriculum is well structured and includes some industry professionals teaching so we get an overall experience and not just in class knowledge based on books and articles. We also have everything digitalized and that makes everything seem so modern and it truly feels like the University for the real world.
Exams
I only had to answer the IELTS exam and scored an overall band of 7.5 out of the 4 bands i.e. reading, listening, writing and speaking.
Placement
I'm in my first semester of my master's course and I don't think we have placements for my course but I\ m not to sure about that. Although the Undergrad program does seem to have placements by companies such as Google etc
Internship
I think they do but I'm not sure as I'm in my masters and not bachelors. Although I did come across something is known as work integrated learning and other stuff which indicates they do have provisions for internships and work in industries.
Events
Out college celebrates almost every event. We had Orientation week for 2 weeks in February, a market day which was in March, and other clubs and sports have events as well. We have talks organized by students and the University. We have free breakfasts and BBQs and more.
Fees
The fee structure was based per unit and on the enrollment. There was a different fee for international students as compared to domestic students. There were late fee charges as well past the census date.
Scholarship
No, I have not as I didn't meet the requirements to be eligible for any scholarships that were being offered.
Examination Structure
The exam structure is based on a 7-grade scale and we are graded on our presentation, project, reports and some units have written exams which are either open book or closed book exams. Apart from this, we are graded on throughout the year on our assessments.
Faculty
I think the faculty here are very dedicated to their job and seem very enthusiastic about teaching and interacting with the students. They also care a lot about the University and ethics.
Hostel
For me, I stayed at a homestay for a month before moving into a share house that I pay rent on a weekly bases. I find this is a convenient way to ease into your new life here in Australia and as a student in a different country.
