I heard many good things from past students, my siblings also went to this university and had positive experiences. It was closer than Griffith and I also liked the campuses a lot better than any other university I looked at.
Course Curriculum
It's good although the first few courses are very basic and a little too easy. For example, my Food and Nutrition unit has very little food and nutrition content and more general tips on being employable so far. Which isn't very interesting.
Events
Orientation day was great, they had two dollar meals, free entertainment from other students and heaps of social events. This gave us a good opportunity to meet our fellow first-year students and was overall a really positive event.
Fees
I deferred my fees to HEX, this process was made very easy and straightforward. There is another fee for each semester of study that you can also defer.
Examination Structure
I haven't had much contact with it as of yet, from what I do know the block structure of exams is very useful. Most units outline clearly what will need to be studied to do well in the exam as well.
Faculty
All of my experiences with faculty have been very positive. My lecturers are very hands-on and happy to answer any questions we have, the workshop tutors have also been helpful.
