The prospects of studying and living in a developed country like Australia is definitely attractive. A number of factors encouraged my decision, namely education quality whereby the University of Melbourne is ranked among the best, job availability in reputed companies, foreign work experience and good social life.

Course Curriculum

8

The course is in line with professional accreditations such as CPA Australia, the CAANZ and the CFA.

Exams

My Cambridge O level English grade being an A*, satisfied the language requirements to study in Australia, thereby removing the need to take the IELTS test. As for the university course entry requirements, a grade of A B B with Mathematics and an approved AS Level subject will result in guaranteed admission. My scores were A* A B with Mathematics and grade 'a' in General Paper (approved English AS Level subject). Additionally, I took the SAT in December 2019 and scored 660 in Maths and 580 in English with 16 in essay writing, ranking in the 80th percentile.

Placement

8

I haven't been on campus yet. I have only studied remotely for my 1st semester but I did have opportunity to network with some senior students on how to apply to internships during career fairs etc.

Events

I have been studying remotely for my 1st semester. There were some online activities though such as Excel workshops, onlins career fairs and so on.

Scholarship

I got the Bachelor of Commerce Global Scholarship 2020 which is 20% off my course during the full duration of the course. International candidates excelling both in academics and extra-curricular activities are automatically considered based on their Statement of purpose essay.

Faculty

8

Although i have only studied remotely so far, the class size ratio and time difference was not a big issue.

Hostel

I have been studying remotely from my home country for the first semester.
