I chose University of Melbourne because I want to do research. To my knowledge, University of Melbourne is well known for its research program and has high reputation in its biological sciences area.
Course Curriculum
Depending on the class taken, the course syllabus is great. There's a lot of knowledge, however there should be more practical based activities and I do feel like everything is more theory based and it would be hard to apply them in the working field.
Exams
My score was 32 from the IB program. There was not a lot of requirements and I was actually able to get an unconditional offer using my predicted grades which needed to be 2 points higher than what is required for admission, so I had to get a 33 and above.
Placement
I'm not actually involved in any alumni programs, but there is a alumni program available to students. There are also workshops available to students constantly.
Events
The clubs in university are great, depending on which club it is though. UMSU International, not nescessarily a club but is a great place to start. Some clubs that are not well built don't really take up lots of ideas due to the limited budget. The libraries are great, but just can't use them as of right now.
Scholarship
No
Faculty
I'm not sure about the numbers, but the staff are very approachable and are always happy to help.
Hostel
Nope, I live in Journal Student living. Honestly it feels safe cause the people living here are students but I would not recommend due to cost.
