The goals and objectives of this program are as follows:
- Provide professional grounding in the eight domains of information security as articulated for the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP): Security and Risk Management, Asset Security, Security Engineering, Communications and Network Security, Identity and Access Management, Security Assessment and Testing, Security Operations, and Software Development Security.
- Offer professional grounding in the four domains of information security management as articulated by ISACA (previously known as the Information Systems Audit and Control Association): Information Security Governance, Information Risk Management and Compliance, Information Security Program Development and Management, Information Security Incident Management.
- Deliver grounding in principles of enterprise management: Organizational Behavior, Management of Information Technology.
- Afford grounding in tools supporting security management: System and Network Administration, Analytics, Data Management.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts from all universities and colleges ever attended
- Official transcripts should contain a course by course evaluation from an accredited agency
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.8 or equivalent on a scale of 4.0 in undergraduate coursework
- Submit three letters of recommendation from individuals qualified to critically assess the applicant's prior academic (usually college professors), employment, artistic, research and/or clinical experience (clinical or research supervisor/manager) and qualifications (as applicable) as well as the applicant's potential as a graduate student in the field/program selected.
- Submit an updated resume
- MS ISM students are expected to have a strong working knowledge of networking and security. Students with undergraduate technology related degrees and work experience are expected to benefit the most from this program
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores

- TOEFL: minimum 79 in iBT; 213 in CBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
