- The faculty train the next generation of nuclear engineers to design, build, run and regulate nuclear power plants in the US and abroad. Students also gain expertise as scientists and engineers who advance the application of radiation in medicine, nuclear security and the dismantling of weapons, the disposal of radioactive wastes and basic research.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Following are the requirement of the program:
- The applicants must earn their bachelor’s degree.
- The Program requires the Grade Point Average received in CSE coursework must be at least 3.0 based on Rackham's 4.0 scale.
- Successful M.Sc applicants usually have an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.5/4.0, GRE scores of at least 70% verbal, 90% quantitative, and 40% analytical writing, and three strong letters of recommendation.

- Resume: Outline of academic achievements and/or awards, publications, relevant work, and/or volunteer experience.
- Official Mark Sheets and Degree Certificates: The marks statement provided by the education board after completion of the previous academic qualifications.

- Two Letter of Recommendation: A recommendation letter should include information about the student, their connection with the person they are recommending, why they are qualified, and the specific skills they have.
- Statement of Purpose - This is an essay or any written statement written by the student while applying.
- ELP Scores: Students have to submit their English language proficiency scores like IELTS, TOEFL, or other test scores.
