Students will take a common core of classes (21 credit hours) and then gain knowledge and experiences in specific areas of sport and recreation programming, management, business, and leadership (30 credit hours).
This course of study includes many opportunities for experiential learning in and out of the classroom. As part of the major, each student also completes a final practicum in an area of sport and recreational leadership about which they are passionate.
Majoring in sport and recreational leadership?prepares students to work in recreation and sports centers, with athletic programs, at camps, and/or in YMCAs, churches, established businesses, or as an entrepreneur.
