Musical theatre students at Anderson University have recital opportunities on a regular basis at which to showcase their voice. Students also have opportunities to perform in four productions each year, which include theatre, musical theatre, and opera. Students must also participate in a musical theatre showcase, which challenges them to develop their own show to highlight their individual skills and talents while also uplifting those of their classmates.
A musical theater major can lead to a career as an actor, singer, musician, dancer, choreographer, director or self-enrichment teacher. We prepare graduates to perform in musical theater productions through training in acting, singing, and dancing, as well as experience working with choreographers and directors. Our graduates are developed into performers that are a triple threat ? with skills in singing, dancing, and acting that give them a leg up at auditions and as part of casts.
