Bachelor of Arts [B.A] [Language and International Trade - Japanese] From Eastern Michigan University

Depending on initial placement, students may need to take up to 16 additional credit hours of 100- and 200-level classes in the language before they can begin courses required in the major.

The major in language and international trade is designed to integrate the study of modern foreign languages and cultures with preparation in the field of international business.

The major objective of the program is to provide students with the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to function in a foreign environment and in professional dealings with business people and clients who speak foreign languages. Students completing this group major will have met the major and minor requirements for graduation.

The minor is included in the major requirements.

Qualified students in Japanese may have the option of participating in a cooperative work exchange in an area of the world where Japanese is spoken.
