- Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling will give students the theory-based knowledge and counseling skills they need to succeed in a wide range of mental health careers.
- It is a dynamic 60-credit curriculum program accredited by CACREP.
- The program prepares students for licensure as Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC).
- Students will learn the foundations of counseling procedures, intervention skills, assessment methods, and the quantitative.
- The department has close associations with more than 100 field sites that accept Monmouth students for field placement during the required practicum and internships.
- Students may participate in various hands-on and experiential activities in addition to practicum and internships.
- Approximately 70% of the students receive graduate scholarships which are based upon program, grade point average, and a number of credits taken each semester.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree from a recognized university.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA in the undergraduate major is required.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year bachelors degree from a recognized institution
- Or, completed a 3-year UG degree from an accredited institution.
- Or, Complete a master's degree from an accredited university.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
