The Department of Music occupies three buildings on the university campus: the Fine Arts Center, the Music Building, and studios on the first floor of Oklahoma Hall.
All students of the university are welcome to enroll, with the permission of the instructor, in any of the following performing organizations: Marching Band (fall), Symphonic Band (spring), Jazz Ensemble ?B?, Woodwind Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Men's Chorus, and Women's Chorus. All students of the university are eligible to audition for the following performing organizations: University Orchestra, Wind Ensemble (spring), Jazz Ensemble ?A?, Southwestern Singers and Chamber Choir.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants must submit official transcripts of high school and all previous education
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.7 or equivalent on a scale of 4.0
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES accredited agency
- Submitting SAT/ACT scores is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 61
- IELTS: minimum 5.5
