Georgetown University Undergraduate Admission

International applicants seeking admission at the university need to meet certain admission requirements to get accepted here. Georgetown University has the following general requirements for international applicants:

Georgetown University Graduate Admissions

At Georgetown, there are nine graduate schools that offer more than 150 courses. Each course has a different requirement, application process, and fee as well. There are different portals for the desired course. The applications are filed through their respective school’s websites.

In case of an MBA program, it is also recommended to have some professional experience. There is also an interview on an invitation basis for applicants. International students must apply by Round 2, to apply and secure a visa in time.

Georgetown University MS Courses

Master of Science is one of the oldest and traditional courses offered by Georgetown University across various disciplines. The general requirements and procedure of admission to the MS courses at Georgetown University are as follows:

Georgetown University MBA is offered as a full-time, MAAP or flex program through McDonough School of Business. 96% of the total MBA batch of 2021 received an employment offer within 3 months of graduation. 95% of the students accepted the offers. After graduation, Georgetown MBA graduates earn a full-time average salary of 126,107 USD per annum with a signing bonus of 34,073 USD.

International students must demonstrate English language proficiency by providing scores of any one of the following tests given below to be eligible for admissions at Georgetown:

USA Student Visa

International applicants are required to apply for an F-1 or J-1 student visa to study in the USA and require 1-20 forms and DS-2019 forms from the university to become eligible for applying for student visas. In order to receive the I-20 or the DS-2019 Form, the following documents need to be submitted:

• Copy of passport
• Bank statement of the applicant or his sponsor
• Affidavit of support
• I-20/ DS-2019 Form
• Original Bank Statement
• Admission letter to the University of South Florida 
• Official Academic records
• Certificate of finance
• Certificate of Finance stating availability of funds worth one year’s full expenses
• After receipt of the eligibility documents, the SEVIS fee must be paid.

Georgetown University Admission Decision 

After completing the admission process and submitting all of their documents by November 11, the student will receive an admission Decision by the admission committee of Georgetown University by December 15. As far as students applying through the regular decision, they will receive an admission notification by April 1st. All accepted candidates must file their deposit by May 1. 

Students may be required to self-report their GPA in case of some programs which has a section for the self-reported GPA. Applicants must confirm with the program guidelines regarding the GPA conversion and related info.
