Bachelor of Arts [B.A] [Criminal Justice] From George Washington University

One of the social and behavioral science disciplines in the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, the program examines the historical development of criminal justice and its evolution into modern legal systems. Students analyze how different forms of criminal justice affect individuals and society.

Sociology, political science, history and psychology.

Students gain a comprehensive understanding of sociological theory, with emphasis on the history and the impact of the justice system and social conditions that affect crime and criminal law.

Partnerships between engaged students and faculty promote critical thinking about criminal justice.

Occupations include attorney, law enforcement officer, correctional officer, inspector or compliance officer, firefighter, paralegal, private investigator, forensics specialist, private security and probation officer. Our degree also opens the door to many federal enforcement positions.
