Visa requirements for International Students -

In order to get an F-1 visa, the student should be accepted by the college. The following steps should be followed by the student applying for F-1 visa:

  • Apply for an I-20 form;
  • Submit the statement of financial responsibility with supporting documents like bank statements and a letter from the bank to prove the financial ability;
  • The college will send the I-20 form via courier service;
  • Pay the $200 SEVIS fee to the Department of Homeland Security;
  • Receive further communication from the college for scheduling an interview for a visa in the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate.

The application takes 3 days to transmit to UHV. Once it is transmitted, the applicant will receive an email with student ID and instructions for how to activate your JagSpace access. The applicant can check the To Do List via MyUHV online student account and access the email via your JagSpace portal.

Overview

I had a friend who recommended me to pursue my bachelor's from the University of Houston-Victoria. My good marks in class 12th helped me a lot in getting admission. The admission process was simple, I had filled an online application form. I had also paid an application fee of around $25.
