Kean University is a public university founded in 1855. It was the first public post-secondary university in New Jersey. With the campus setting as urban, the campus of the university is spread in 240 acres. The total enrollment of the university is 14,056 of which 11,824 are undergraduate and 2,232 are graduate students. Kean University follows a semester system as an academic calendar. The student to faculty ratio is 17 to 1.

Kean University offers admissions at undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels of study. The university offers more than 60 masters programs and more than 50 major courses for undergraduates. Currently, 3% of the university’s faculty are from international grounds, and the student satisfaction rate is 74%.

Application Process for Kean University

International applicants are required to submit supplementary documents for their applications to be considered.

Requirements for International applicants:

  • Evaluated report of mark sheet and high school transcripts from an organization affiliated with NACES.
  • SAT/ACT scores are mandatory
  • English proficiency test scores: TOEFL (PBT)-550, TOEFL (IBT)-79, IELTS-6.0, Duolingo- 100

The English proficiency score requirement is waived for applicants who have submitted documents to support that they have completed their secondary level education with English as the medium of instruction.

Scholarships offered by Kean University
