The Liberal Studies Natural Sciences Concentration is intended for students seeking Multiple Subject teaching credentials and Introductory Subject Matter Authorizations in Science.? The courses listed are consistent with the 32-unit requirements of the Introductory Subject Matter Authorization in Science granted by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.? Successful completion of the Liberal Studies major, the Natural Sciences Concentration, and six additional science units certifies a Stanislaus State Multiple Subject Credential holder to teach middle school science to students through grade nine.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants need to be a high school graduate in order to apply for the program
- Applicant should have completed the A-G course requirement: 2 years of history/social science, 4 years of English, 3 years of Mathematics, 2 years of laboratory science, 2 years of language other than English, 1 year of visual performing arts and 1 year of college prep elective
- Students need to have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in preparatory coursework in classes 10, 11 and 12
- SAT or ACT score is optional for students
- Students with GPA of less than 3.0 will be evaluated if space is available
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum score of 61 in iBT; minimum score of 500 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum score of 6.0
