Political science majors at UMSL have unique advantages and programs to enhance their educational experience. Our internship program provides opportunities for students to learn first-hand about politics, government, law and nonprofit agencies in the St. Louis metropolitan area and in Washington D.C. Students also have exciting, life-changing opportunities to study abroad and work with faculty on research projects. UMSL also offers the Political Science Academy, a student organization that sponsors monthly meetings in a casual setting, bringing students and faculty together to discuss timely topics led by a guest speaker. PSA meetings are a wonderful chance to meet faculty and fellow students on a personal basis outside the classroom.
