- Learning outcomes:
- Program graduates will be able to identify and apply appropriate statistical methods to analyze and describe a public health problem.
- Program graduates will be able to use epidemiologic methods to analyze patterns of disease and injury and discuss applications to control problems.
- Program graduates will be able to understand the relationship between environmental factors and community health; discuss remediation for environmental health problems.
- Program graduates will be able to demonstrate the ability to apply principles of leadership, policy development, budgeting and program management in the planning, implementation and evaluation of health programs for individuals and populations.
- Program graduates will be able to address behavioral, social and cultural factors that impact individual and population health and health disparities over the life course.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- ?Completion of a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.00*;
- Submission of Graduate Record Exam (GRE) test scores. No minimum scores are required; however, students who are successful in the program generally have scored in the 40th percentile or higher. The following exemptions may be made for GRE scores:
- Students who have earned a graduate degree from an accredited U.S. Institution and students currently enrolled in a Missouri State University graduate degree program are not required to submit GRE scores.
- Official scores from the GMAT, MCAT or LSAT from within the last 5 years may be submitted in lieu of the GRE.
- International applicants for whom English is not the native language are required to submit official scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
