SLU is also one of only a few schools in the world with an online aviation management degree program, offered at our School for Professional Studies. If you choose to major in aviation management, you will learn to manage airlines or direct corporate flight offices and be well versed in the technical language of the industry. All classes can be taken online.
If you pursue the aviation management degree online, you can get actual flight experience and earn commercial pilot ratings and certificates as a fixed-wing or helicopter pilot through SLU’s partnership with Midwest Helicopter.
Graduates who pursue the Helicopter Pilot Preparation programleave the program with private, commercial and instrument helicopter licenses. They can fly as an independent contract aviator, as a commercial pilot or a government employee with the Federal Aviation Administration or the Department of Agriculture.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit all transcripts of secondary work along with english translations
- Submit resume of activities
- Submit letters of recommendations
English Language Requirements:
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- Duolingo: minimum 110
- SAT: minimum 550 in evidence based writing and reading
- ACT: minimum 21 in English section
- Pearson: minimum 54
- TOEFL: minimum 80 in IBT, minimum 550 in PBT
