Bachelor [Animation] From Brigham Young University

The Computer Science Animation Emphasis gives students the opportunity to learn both the technical and artistic side of creating and implementing digital animation and games, preparing them for technical careers with animation and game programming studios.

The Brigham Young University Computer Science Department has a long history of contribution to the field of computer-generated animation. Brigham Young University Computer Science students have been instrumental in the production of each of Brigham Young University's celebrated animated shorts. These short films, including: "Lemmings," "Petshop," "Faux Paw," "Turtles," "Noggin," "Las Piñatas," "Lion and the Mouse," "Pajama Gladiators," "Kites," and "Xing," have been widely heralded by the animation industry. They have garnered ten "College Television Awards" or "Student Emmys" from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences as well as four "Student Academy Awards" from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Upon entering the industry, Brigham Young University Computer Science students continue to excel. Many of the computer science students who have worked on Brigham Young University's animated films have gone on to graduate school or accepted positions at an animation studios.
