This comprehensive biology teacher degree program is offered by the College of Science, Engineering and Technology and provides the foundational knowledge to prepare you to successfully tackle licensure requirements. The BS in Biology for Secondary Education program is offered in conjunction with teaching licensure requirement courses provided by the College of Education. You have the opportunity to attain a deep breadth of content knowledge as well as research-based pedagogical practices prior to entering the classroom. This biology teaching program prepares you to use the skills of a biology educator, such as research, critical thinking and effective communication in your future educational settings.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of high school and other education completed
- Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or equivalent
- Applicants with GPA less than 3.0 need to submit scores of SAT/ACT
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
