Master of Science [M.S] (Robotics and Autonomy)
Field of Study:
$40,260/Yr
- Master of Science in Robotics and Autonomy at Drexel University is a 2 years program.
- Students are required to successfully complete 45 credits for the program.
- It is an on-campus program, offered on both a full-time and part-time basis.
- A robotics master’s program should provide an understanding of the forces governing industry, a global viewpoint, and the entrepreneurial, teambuilding and managerial abilities needed to advance careers in business and research, or as preparation for entry into a PhD program in electrical engineering or a related field.
- The robotics and autonomy program is built upon the following concepts as the foundation:
- Obtaining data from the robot’s surroundings (perception)
- Reasoning about how that data yields information about the robot’s environment (cognition)
- Mapping environmental information to a decision about how to react to the environment (control)
- Translating that reaction decision into movement and an interaction with the physical environment (action).
- The robotics and autonomy program delivers knowledge of the fundamentals and exposure to emerging subjects in robotics and autonomy.
- Graduate co-op is an optional six-month position for full-time students during Summer and Fall terms. Drexel University co-op provides the opportunity to apply theory and methods learned in classroom and laboratory to a work experience before graduation.
