Candidates will establish competence in sign language and then develop the skills of interpreting between English and American Sign Language (ASL). Additional coursework and field experiences related to sign language interpreting in academic, community, and specialized settings will provide the knowledge, skills, and perspectives needed to enter the field of professional interpreting. Upon completion of all requirements, candidates will earn a Bachelor of Science in Education degree.

Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education completed
- Applicant must meet one of the following criteria:Rank in the upper one-half of their graduating high school clas Or ACT composite score of 20 or higher or SAT equivalent Or a 3.0 or higher GPA
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores

- TOEFL: minimum 61 in iBT; 500 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.0
- PTE: minimum 44
- Duolingo: minimum 95
- ACT English: minimum 18
- SAT Reading: minimum 24
