The Bachelor of Music degree in performance involves intensive study in vocal or instrumental music and experience in a variety of performance situations. An innovative curriculum in fundamental music skills provides a solid foundation in music theory, history and analysis. Students will study with talented artist-faculty in brass, woodwinds, percussion, keyboard, or voice and will focus on the skills needed to lay a foundation for a performance career and graduate study. There are three different concentrations available in the Music Performance degree are instrumental performance, vocal performance, and music technology.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education completed
- Applicant must meet one of the following criteria:Rank in the upper one-half of their graduating high school clas Or ACT composite score of 20 or higher or SAT equivalent Or a 3.0 or higher GPA
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 61 in iBT; 500 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.0
- PTE: minimum 44
- Duolingo: minimum 95
- ACT English: minimum 18
- SAT Reading: minimum 24
