Overview
I applied for this college because it was the cheapest. I transferred to UMD from Michigan Tech my sophomore year because I couldn't afford Michigan Tech anymore. I only applied to 2 schools during my senior year of high school. The application fees for Michigan Tech were free but at UMD it was $50.
Fees
The tuition that I pay is around $10,000 a year. I have loans through Sallie Mae to pay for college. I wasn't awarded any scholarship at UMD because I was a transfer student and there aren't many scholarships available for transfer students. I pay less because I live off-campus so I don't have to pay for dorm.
Overview
The programs they offered were exactly what I was looking for. Most colleges did not offer any animal science-based programs, hence my decision. Plus I could live closer to home so that was another reason.
Fees
It was done per semester, I was charged through my U of M account. I was charged a lot because of tuition, which is higher than most schools
Overview
It had the program I wanted. I liked the location of the school and the class sizes were smaller. The school offered different groups and teams that Iike and wanted to be apart of. I had friends who went to school as well.
Fees
You pay per semester. You also pay for housing and food and textbooks. Some athletes get paid to live on campus.
Overview
The best school I got into so I opted for this college. I also liked that they had a good pre-health program which would allow me to look into going to graduate school here. I also liked that they were a research institution.
Fees
There are many fees included in the structure including tuition, books, dorms, student fees to use things such as the school gym, and other resources around campus.
