- Civil and Environmental Engineering offers some of the most exciting career opportunities. We are educating professionals who will be responsible for creating a sustainable world by being planners, designers, constructors, and operators of the built and natural environment. Our graduates are expected to be leaders in the discussions and decisions shaping the public environmental and infrastructure policy.
- The Graduate and Professional Programs office provides services for prospective and currently enrolled Master’s, Doctoral, and non-degree earning continuing education students at the Viterbi School of Engineering and online.
- The Viterbi School of Engineering is one of the oldest professional schools on the USC campus and is consistently ranked among the top graduate engineering programs by U.S. News & World Report and the Academic Ranking of World Universities. Our online computer science program is currently ranked # 1 and DEN@Viterbi is ranked a top 5 online graduate engineering program by U.S. News and World Report.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must complete a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in any engineering or engineering-related disciplines.
- The average cumulative high school GPA of students admitted is 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students require a 4-year Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree (for 3-year Bachelor's degree holder) earned at an institution recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Note: A three-year bachelor’s degree in any subject is not considered sufficient for graduate study at the University of Southern California.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
