Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience at the University of California Los Angeles is a 4-year program.
It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
In this program, students have to study the topics of fundamental interest include perception, cognition, learning, memory, motor control, and regulation of body function.
Students have to complete a capstone project in the last year.
Undergraduate students have the option of conducting two terms of independent research within a faculty laboratory, applying to participate in DOPA-Team, or completing an advanced laboratory methods course with a series of research modules.
Through their capstone work, students can work on research projects independently and in small groups called the team.
Students have to complete the core courses that are Chemistry and Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Statistics or Mathematics, and Physics.
Each core curriculum course must be passed with a grade of C- or better, and all courses must be completed with an overall grade-point average of 2.0 or better.
Students receiving a grade of D or lower in two core curriculum courses, either in separate courses or repetitions of the same course, are subject to dismissal from the major.
The department provides small class sizes which increase the interaction among the student and the faculty members.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must either be in the final year of secondary school or have already completed secondary school studies to get admission in this program.
Students must have a background in basic math, physics, and geology and advanced coursework specialized in geophysics.
A GPA of 3.4 (B+ grade) out of 4.0 is required in the last two years of the studies.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet the following eligibility criteria:

Students are expected to complete Year X and Year XII state board exams.
The competitive students typically achieve high marks, primarily A1 and A2 grades or scores above 80.
students must complete both year X and XII state board or CBSE examinations, with average marks above 70 and no mark below 60.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
