You will study the latest food trends in NFS 5320 Food Behaviors and Motivations; analyze controversial food issues in NFS 5870 Sustainable Food Systems; and investigate the role of nutrition in disease prevention and health promotion in NFS 6350 Obesity and Chronic Disease. Dietitians and nutritionists are professionals who promote health and manage disease by helping clients set specific goals. As a graduate student studying nutrition, you will work one-on-one with a professor to design a unique research project to answer a research question of interest to you.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicant must have a bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education completed
- Applicants must have minimum GPA of 3.0
- Applicants must have a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher in the equivalent of the following six courses: NFS 2270 Human Nutrition, WRT 1010 Composition I, WRT 1020 Composition II, BIO 2250 Human Physiology, CHM 2210 Organic Chemistry; BIO 2270 Microbiology for the Health Sciences
- Submit two letters of recommendation from employers or professional associates
- Submit resume
- Submit a statement of purpose or research interests related to nutrition and dietics
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 70
- IELTS: minimum 6
- MELAB: minimum 76
