In the State of Arkansas, a CPA candidate must meet certain accounting and business education requirements. Students who earn an undergraduate degree that includes at least 30 undergraduate semester hours or 20 graduate hours in business, other than accounting, and at least 30 undergraduate semester hours or 20 graduate semester hours in accounting above the principles level will be deemed to have met the education requirement for the CPA examination. Candidates who successfully complete the CPA examination must also complete 150 semester hours in order to be licensed.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official secondary school transcripts with both original and English translations
- Transcripts must be stamped or embossed by the issuing institution to confirm that they are original
- Submit a certificate or diploma confirming graduation from secondary institution
- Applicant should have completed following courses in secondary school: Studies of native language; English, Mathematics, social science, physical science/ natural science
- Applicants should submit SAT/ACT scores
- Submit English language proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 79 in iBT; 550 in PBT;
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- PTE: minimum 58
