Students majoring in our political science program develop analytical skills, hone their critical thinking skills, and become persuasive writers and speakers. From analyzing Socrates' ancient thoughts to debating today?s headlines, our faculty and students engage in discussions and debates that extend beyond the classroom. In fact, political science students at UL Lafayette have opportunities to experience real-world political interactions with?internships?at local, national, and international levels.

We offer a degree and minor in?political science?with additional concentrations and minors in?pre-law?or?international relations.?Our faculty of experts will guide you through areas of study such as law, voting politics, local government, bureaucratic administration, and international relations and affairs?all in an effort to prepare you for national and global citizenship.
