  • Kennesaw State University is now offering the NEW Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS) degree to meet Georgia's increasing workforce demand in computer science. This program offers students a true graduate-school experience in the exciting discipline of Computer Science, with high expectations and intensive learning. The Masters's program is designed to serve two kinds of qualified students who want to further their study in computer science: those who have a bachelor's degree in computer science, and those with undergraduate degrees in areas other than computer science with required computer science and mathematics course work. 
  • The MSCS offers an excellent curriculum that blends theoretical foundations of computer science with state-of-the-art computing technologies. The program provides students with opportunities in computer science research, advanced project development, and interdisciplinary study, with maximum flexibility in study plans and class attendance options.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited university.
  • 2.75 Minimum GPA for students with an undergraduate degree in a computing discipline, OR a non-computing discipline.
  • Evidence of competency in programming in Java and at least one other programming language. This requirement can be met by grades of A or B in appropriate coursework and/or submission of representative programs.
  • Official Evaluation of all foreign transcripts is required.
  • International students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
