Music pervades almost every aspect of our lives, and someone has to write it! A successful musical composition does not generate out of a cookie-cutter, institutional approach to music. It comes from a combination of rich life-learning experiences and expert musical guidance.
?A combination of Concordia's Q&I curriculum and one on one faculty mentorship that starts immediately after students gain a solid basis in music theory. The one on one training typically lasts 2-4 years, providing students a level of customization and detailed guidance that is unparalleled by most institutions.
At Concordia, Music is more than a major?it is an integral part of the college experience for students in a variety of undergraduate studies. We use music to cultivate and articulate human thought in beautiful ways. We also use it as a valuable expression of faith, a gift of God to aid in the proclamation of the Gospel.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit secondary school transcripts or marksheets and transcripts of any other education attended
- Submit a letter of recommendation directly from principal, school head or college counselor
- Submit a letter of intent
- Submit a portfolio and prepare an audition video
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit English language proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 90 in iBT with combined score of 34 in speaking and writing
- IELTS: minimum 7.0 with no component below 5.5
- PTE: minimum 61
- Duolingo: minimum 120
- CAEL: minimum 70
