The Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Biology is an interdisciplinary degree program jointly administered by the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, the Department of Biology, and the Department of Mathematics at the University of Houston.
In addition to general university and college requirements, the degree calls for 26 hours of biology/biochemistry, 27 hours of mathematics, 21 hours of chemistry and physics, and 6 hours of interdisciplinary biology/mathematics courses.
The general requirements, including university core curriculum and college requirements, shall apply. By virtue of the interdisciplinary nature of the program, students who complete the requirements for the B.S. degree in Mathematical Biology have satisfied the capstone requirement of the College of Natural Science and Mathematics.
