Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must have a high school degree from a recognized institution.
- Applicants should have complete the following secondary subjects:
- English
- Social Studies
- Laboratory Science (Chemistry and Physics are recommended)
- Mathematics (2 units Algebra, 1 unit Plane Geometry, ½ unit Trigonometry)
- Other academic subjects
Indian Students Eligibility:
- Applicants must have passed 12th with at least 70% marks from 100.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
Accepted
Not mandatory, Evidence-Based Reading and Writing score of -560 can fulfill the English Language requirement.

- Letter of Recommendation - This shows who recommended the student to pursue the degree.
- Statement of Purpose - This is an essay or any written statement written by the student while applying.
- English Language Requirement - This shows the test score of English Proficiency Exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE, etc.
VISA & Work Study
VISA
There are two types of visas students need to plan:
F-1:
- If students are requesting an I-20 for an F-1 visa they are required to submit evidence of the availability of funds for their expenses for the first year only, and also indicate the source(s) of funding for subsequent years.
- Subsequent years’ funding is indicated by the use of a checkbox on the Rackham Affidavit of Financial Support.
J-1:
- If students are requesting a DS-2019 for a J-1 visa they are required to submit evidence of the availability of funds for their expenses for the duration of their program.
- Use the estimated expenses to calculate the total amount they need to certify and provide the required proof of funds. Over 50% of funding must come from sources other than personal funds.
