In this program, students will:
- Engage in a rigorous curriculum that provides a strong foundation in the fundamental areas of pure and applied mathematics, such as calculus, linear algebra, probability, real analysis, and modern algebra.
- Strengthen their logical reasoning and critical thinking skills with advanced computational and proof-based courses.
- Explore electives in the fields of differential equations, Euclidean and non-Euclidean geometry, mathematical statistics, complex analysis, and topology. Have the opportunity to complete an internship or independent research with the support of a faculty member.
- Learn to write rigorous mathematical proofs and present mathematical ideas and concepts to diverse audiences at regional and national conferences.
- Gain an understanding of current technology, such as R, Python, Excel, Maple, and LaTeX.
- Have the opportunity to study abroad.
- Participate in a variety of activities, including the Math Club, Pi Mu Epsilon National Honor Society, monthly problem-solving competitions, paid tutoring positions, COMAP Math Modeling Competition, lectures from guest speakers, and be eligible for a student membership to the Mathematical Association of America.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Academic performance in high school.
- Co-curricular activities such as athletics, club and organization participation, volunteerism, and involvement in the arts.
- Personal qualities and interests that will allow one to make a unique addition to the Sacred Heart community.
- SHU is a test-optional institution. One may elect to submit SAT or ACT scores for consideration; however, there is no requirement to do so.
Indian Eligibility:
- Academic performance in high school.
- For all non-native English speakers, an official score report of an English language proficiency examination—or acceptable waiver—is required.

- One letter of recommendation
- English Language Proficiency Test scores, such as: TOEFL, IELTS, PTE etc.
