The Bachelor of Arts degree in Crime and Delinquency Studies traditionally has been a broad based liberal arts degree designed to provide the student with a solid foundation in Crime and Delinquency Studies and course work in a variety of other liberal arts disciplines.? The Bachelor of Arts degree program is designed primarily for those students who intend to pursue an advanced degree in Crime and Delinquency Studies, Juvenile Justice, or Law.? In keeping with that tradition, students pursuing a B.A. in Crime and Delinquency Studies at Emporia State University are required to complete a total of 36 semester hours in Sociology, Anthropology and Crime and Delinquency Studies. ? All students working toward the B.A. in Crime and Delinquency Studies are required to complete a 24-hour ?Required Core? and complete12 hours in Secondary courses.? Students must earn a GPA of 2.0 or better in their major.
