Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must hold a baccalaureate or master's degree (not necessarily in mathematics) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- A GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 is required to be eligible for the program.
- In addition, students must have taken 30 semester hours of undergraduate mathematics, at least 24 of which are upper-division courses with a grade of B- or better. These courses must include:
- two semesters of advanced calculus or real analysis (or equivalent)
- one semester of linear algebra
- one semester of one of the following:
- abstract-algebra
- differential equations
- discrete mathematics
- probability
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Students must complete an undergraduate degree with first-class in a relevant field from a highly ranked university in India.
- Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
