- Students will learn to predict whether populations of interacting organisms persist over time or become extinct. As an EEB major, students will learn the fundamental concepts that unify the biological sciences and form the foundation for efforts in the conservation and protection of the earth's biodiversity. As an EEB major at UC Davis, students can choose to pursue an A.B. degree, allowing them greater flexibility to take courses in areas outside their major; or a B.S. degree, providing a more in-depth study of science topics such as biochemistry.
- Whichever track students choose, they’ll have access to resources like the Bodega Marine Laboratory, a study center on California's central coast where they can take courses toward their degree while working alongside visiting marine biologists from around the world.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- A high school diploma (or equivalent)
- Students who are not residents of California must earn a GPA of 3.40 or higher.
- SAT/ACT scores
- The University of California Board of Regents unanimously approved the suspension of the standardized test requirement (ACT/SAT) for all California freshman applicants until fall 2024.
- If students’ native language and school language of instruction prior to their study in the United States were not English, then they must demonstrate English proficiency. They can do so by submitting TOELF/IELTS score reports.
Indian Eligibility:
- Students must complete their standard XII years of education and sit for 10th and 12th-year board/state examinations.
Scores Required
SAT/ACT scores are made optional until fall 2024.
