The university is 30 minutes from my house. This allows me to be able to live at home and drive to school every day. It has a beautiful campus and it is the second largest campus in Ohio. It has a great education program as well!

Course Curriculum

10

I don't love it. I think that they could make things a bit easier for college kids. My classes are very challenging and the work is very demanding. But I also can?t complain because I am happy and doing well at school.

Exams

I only took the ACT in high school. The first time I took it I got a 20 and second time I got a 24. I was happy with this score and never took it again after.

Placement

8

I think the placement and job opportunities are good. Both my parents went to Kent and got places in great schools to student teach. They also got jobs very fast and pain-free. I am excited to be at this point in school.

Internship

It does! I am in the education program so I will be student teaching and not doing an internship. But I know that the advisors help a lot trying to find opportunities such as an internship. They are very helpful.

Events

10

Kent has a lot of school events. Every weekend they send out events to earn money to spend on campus. Things such as sporting events, karaoke night, trivia night ETc! There are a lot of things to do at Kent.

Fees

The fees did hit me pretty hard. They are extremely expensive but not as bad as other schools are. I picked Kent a lot because it was affordable for me but it is still a ridiculous amount to pay for schooling.

Scholarship

I was offered some financial aid. The process is long and stressful because paying for school is not a fun thing. But I did get some scholarships that helped!

Examination Structure

The exam structure seems good. I wish that they would be a little easier though. Every semester seems to be different. I also take classes online so that is interesting trying to fit all of my exams into one week.

Faculty

7

I have had both good and bad experiences with faculty. I had a bad advisor but then got a much better one. My professors have been pretty decent for the most part.

Hostel

9

I have not had much experience in this area. I know kids have a lot of opportunities to work on campus and find jobs fairly easily. My advisor emails me of opportunities available to me and is very helpful if I need some help with it.
