The MS in CS at UCF revolves heavily around AI, ML and Computer Vision. As these are areas of my interest, I chose UCF.

Course Curriculum

9

Courses are well designed. Industrial exposure is not to the extent of my expectation (location plays a great role in this) However, you have to structure your course plan which has certain rules for the way you can structure it. Rest everything is flexible.

Exams

My scores - GRE: Verbal 140 Quant 160 AWA 4.0 TOEFL: 103/120 I don't know the class minimum score required, it's subjective.

Placement

7

Placements and research are subjective. Lot of career fairs ttake place, but I don't know the statistics.

Internship

No, I haven't.

Fees

For MS in CS, one has to take 30 credit hours in total, with a minimum of 9 Credit hours and a maximum of 12 credit hours per semester. Each credit hour costs 1300$. So total tuition fee for 30 credit hours would be 39,000$

Scholarship

No, I haven't received any scholarship.

Faculty

8

Well, UCF is the most densely populated university in the US from what I know. I'm not sure about the statistics such as student to teacher ration, but the faculties are excellent, friendly and easily approachable. Even if the professor is busy with some work or research, their teaching assistants revert back and help a lot.

Campus Life

There are lot of clubs and student activities going on. Being an international student, it's hard to manage with academics and participating in those activities, but if you are good enough in time management, you can easily participate in it. The RWC at UCF is state of the art and I just love it. Specific to my course, UCF has various clubs such as UCF AI group and many hackathons and technical events are conducted here. Campus is beautiful, has great infrastructure, shuttle service, health service, UCF Police Department, etc.

Hostel

Accommodation is subjective and depends on what standards of living you prefer. I lived in a 3bhk apartment with 4 people. I live in a separate room and the rent for it is 630$. Average monthly cost of living is around 850$(lavish) else 500$(moderate)
