BU as this had the best research labs and faculties in my field in USA
Course Curriculum :
The curriculum gives a wholesome knowledge of bioinformatics with skills and hands on practice. The TAs and faculties are very helpful.
Exams :
Good academic background, GRE(optional), TOEFL(min 84), CV, SOP, LOR, unofficial transcript, degree. MY TOEFL was -84.
Placement :
Post study are either PhD or placement. Placement rate is 97% for my department and the 86% of overall BU. It is very reputed university with good alumni network.
Events :
Campus life is not as expected mainly and only because of Covid. Most classes are online
Scholarship :
No separate process. Merit based scholarship of $15,000
Faculty :
All faculty is from very esteemed universities like MIT, Harvard etc. All are involved in very promising and hot topic concepts and areas.
Hostel :
I live in off campus private room in shared apartment. The rent is 600$. The utilities in total are around $30-40
